FEATURES (See Figure 1)
CAUTIONS
• This unit is intended for use with the supplied 12 volt DC power source (converter)
that can provide at least 4 amperes of current. DO NOT attempt to use with
any power source that provides less than 4 amperes at 12 volts DC.
• NEVER operate unit in an enclosed space. ALWAYS ensure that there is adequate
ventilation and free flow of air around the unit, so that warm air expelled by
the fan (in the rear of the unit) is effectively dissipated.

unit’s air dissipation system, and could cause a fire or other safety hazard.
• Use only with the supplied power cord. If cord becomes worn or damaged,
discontinue use and call Vector Customer Service Department for an authorized
replacement.
• Never allow the cooler/warmer or AC/DC converter to be immersed in water
or other liquid. This will void the warranty.

• Do not leave plugged in. Disconnect AC/DC converter when not in use, or when
cooler is turned OFF.

Continue operating the cooler/warmer as described under USE AS A COOLER
WARMER.
• Observe all CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
Note: With a current draw of approximately 3.6 amps (44 watts), the unit will
operate for approximately 1.2 hours from a fully charged 12 volt DC portable
power supply, such as the Vector Pocket Power (Model #VEC018). A standard
19 Ampere Hour Jumpstarter/Power Supply such as the VEC021 or VEC020
series - can operate the cooler/warmer for approximately 4.8 hours.
CAUTIONS
• The unit can take up to 2 hours to reach its optimum set temperature if the set
temperature is an operating extreme (approx. 40 °F to warm temperature 120 °F).
It is recommended that items to be placed in the unit are at the correct temperature.
This will assist the unit in reaching the desired temperature as quickly as possible
• The unit will continue to operate as long as power is applied to it and it is
turned ON.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
The Mini Fridge Deluxe Cooler and Warmer is ruggedly constructed to provide
years of dependable service.
• If the vehicle engine is turned off, the unit will continue to draw power (a nominal
3.6-amps or 44 watts) from the vehicle battery.
• If the engine is switched off for a long period (overnight) it is important to
disconnect the unit from the accessory outlet to avoid draining the vehicle’s battery.
After each use, clean the unit, inside and out, with a soft cloth and mild soap solution.
Do not scrape, scratch or puncture the surface of the unit with sharp objects or abrasives.
• Dry the unit properly and store in a cool, dry place.
• Always make sure the power cord and converter are disconnected before storing.
• Never allow the unit to be immersed in liquid.
WARNINGS
• Food will stay at desired temperature for some time after the unit is disconnected or
turned off, but the temperature will eventually change to that of the surrounding air.
• Observe common sense hygiene rules, as with any cooling/heating unit. Do not
eat or drink perishable items that may have spoiled or become contaminated
from lack of proper temperature control.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM/POSSIBLE CAUSE/REMEDY

• Fuse or circuit breaker in accessory outlet is open. Reset breaker or check fuse,
and replace fuse if necessary. (See paragraph below)
• Ignition is switched off - start engine or switch ignition to accessory position.
• Fuse in unit’s DC power plug is blown - see Fuse Replacement section for location
of fuse and instructions for checking and replacing fuse.
CAUTIONS

FUSE REPLACEMENT
The power cord is fuse-protected against short-circuiting, by a 10-amp fuse located
in the tip of the DC power plug. If the DC socket is powered, but the unit does not
operate, then the cooler/warmer fuse may be open.
To inspect or replace the DC Power Cord Fuse
1. Unscrew the end-cap of the DC plug counterclockwise.
2. Remove fuse, inspect it for an open element, and replace with a new 10 amp
fuse, if needed.
3. Re-attach the end-cap to the plug.
4. If new fuse opens, call Vector Customer Service Department for further instructions
and possible return/replacement. This unit is not user-serviceable, it must be
returned to Vector Manufacturing for professional service or repair. Any attempt
to service by user will void warranty.
LAMP REPLACEMENT
At the inside top of the cooler there is a lamp that lights when the cooler door is
opened. If the lamp does not light when the door is opened, and the unit is powered,
the cartridge type bulb should be replaced. These are available from most automotive
supply stores. Replace the bulb with one that is the same type and rating.
1. Disconnect all power to the cooler/warmer
2. Empty the cooler of it’s contents
3. Turn the cooler upside down so that the lamp assembly is down and is accessible.
4. Slide the clear plastic cover part way towards the front of the unit.
5. Lift the clear cover and expose the bulb
6. Using a paperclip, form a half-inch hook at one end.
7. Hook the paperclip under the bulb at one end and lift the end of the bulb.
8. The bulb will disconnect from the springs of the socket.
9. Place the new bulb between the socket springs.
